How Long Will Facial Liposuction Surgery Take?
The duration of facial liposuction surgery can vary depending on the extent of the procedure and the number of areas being treated. In general, facial liposuction can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to complete. Usually, it’s performed with only a local anesthetic and an intravenous sedative, except in cases where patients are undergoing additional surgeries in the same session.
How long will rhinoplasty recovery take?
The duration of facial liposuctin recovery may vary from person to person, but typically it takes several weeks to fully recover. The initial swelling and bruising will likely subside within the first two weeks, but some mild swelling may persist for up to several months. Patients may experience some discomfort during the first few days of recovery, but this can be managed with pain medication if needed. It’s recommended that patients take at least a week off from work and avoid strenuous activities for about six weeks to ensure proper healing.

However, these complications occur in less than 1% of facial liposuction procedures. Will there be scarring after facial liposuction?
The incisions made during facial liposuction are located either inside the mouth or beneath the chin. The incisions inside the mouth will not be visible to others. Incisions underneath the chin will produce visible scarring, but Dr. Garcia takes great care to make miniscule incisions to minimize any noticeable scarring. In all cases, Dr. Garcia aims to reduce visible scarring as much as possible without compromising on the quality of your results. During your consultation, you can discuss the potential incision locations and the resulting scars to ensure it is something you’re comfortable with.
Is facial liposuction permanent?
Yes, facial liposuction is a permanent solution for the removal of fat from the face and neck. The procedure removes fat cells from the targeted areas, and once these cells are removed, they do not grow back. However, it is important to note that while these fat cells are removed permanently, it is still possible for the remaining fat cells in the area to grow larger if a patient gains weight.
Therefore, to maintain the results of facial liposuction, it is important to maintain healthy diet and exercise habits to prevent weight gain.
