Marie Thompson
Patient Advocate
Marie is the Patient Advocate at Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery with many years of experience in both front and back office medical settings. She previously spent 10 years working in a pediatric practice in Maryland, where she supported patients in both administrative and clinical roles. She earned her associate degree from Consolidated School of Business in York, Pennsylvania, where she also completed a medical program.
Originally from New Freedom, Pennsylvania, Marie loves being part of a practice where she can see the positive impact Dr. Garcia’s work has on patients’ confidence and quality of life. She finds it especially rewarding to watch patients enjoy their transformation through before-and after results. Outside of the office, she enjoys music, spending time outdoors, going to the beach, and being with her family.
Alie Smallwood
Patient Care Coordinator
Alie is committed to helping patients feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their aesthetic journey. She assists with each step of the process, from the initial consultation and scheduling surgery to pre-operative preparation, helping create a smooth and personalized experience for every patient.
A Jacksonville native, Alie attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality Management and a certificate in meetings and events. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and assisting with weddings.
Cassie Ellis
Surgical Assistant
As a certified surgical technologist, Cassie brings both strong clinical training and a compassionate approach to patient care. After beginning her medical experience at Coral Reef Animal Hospital, she completed the NCCT surgical technology program at UF Health Shands and earned her TS-C certification. Raised in a military family, she grew up in many different places, primarily in Hawaii and New England, which helped shape her adaptable and welcoming personality.
Cassie loves working closely with patients and finds it especially rewarding to be part of a team that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives. At Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery, she appreciates Dr. Garcia’s expertise and teaching, along with the calm, collaborative atmosphere of the practice. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors paddleboarding, fishing, and exploring the springs, as well as cooking and baking sourdough.
Lori Sohl
Aesthetician
Lori is a Jacksonville native with over 20 years of experience as an aesthetician and a longstanding passion for helping patients feel confident in their own skin. At Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery, she is known for her warm, personalized approach and her commitment to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care. She takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their aesthetic journey.
With a strong focus on natural-looking results, patient comfort, and attention to detail, Lori values building lasting relationships with the patients she serves in the Jacksonville community she is proud to call home.
Outside of work, she and her husband, Aaron, have raised three wonderful sons together. She is also a proud grandmother of 4 grandchildren whom she treasures. She enjoys crafting, caring for her plants, and spending time in her garden.
Becky Hamilton
Nurse Practitioner
Becky is a Nurse Practitioner at Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery with prior nursing experience in pediatrics. She earned her BSN from Drexel University and graduated summa cum laude from Chamberlain College of Nursing with her MSN and Family Nurse Practitioner credentials. She brings both strong clinical training and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Originally from a small town in New Jersey, Becky enjoys helping patients look and feel their best and appreciates that each day brings something new while the aesthetic industry continues to grow and evolve. Outside of the office, she enjoys tennis, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Rosie Fontan
Registered Nurse
With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, Rosie brings a strong clinical background and a compassionate approach to patient care at Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery. Her career has included roles as a medical assistant, surgical assistant, and now a registered nurse. She recently earned her nursing degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville, continuing her dedication to growth and excellence in patient care.
Originally from New Jersey, Rosie spent part of her youth in the Dominican Republic before moving to Jacksonville in 2008. She finds it especially meaningful to walk alongside patients throughout their journey, from consultation to recovery, and loves seeing the joy and confidence patients feel when they view their results. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, grilling, bonfires, board games, and both freshwater and saltwater fishing.
Heidi Aristov
Marketing Coordinator
Heidi brings a diverse creative background to Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery, with professional experience in graphic design, photography, videography, editing, and social media management. Before joining the practice in 2015, she worked as a graphic designer for two print companies and as a freelance photographer, specializing in weddings and portraits. She holds an associate degree in graphic design from Ozarks Technical Community College.
Originally from southwest Missouri, Heidi moved to Jacksonville in 2015 and has loved being able to use her creativity in multiple ways while helping tell the stories of patients whose lives are changed through facial plastic surgery. She finds it especially rewarding to see the confidence and joy patients experience when their outward appearance reflects how they feel inside. Outside of work, she is active in the local film community and enjoys acting, producing, spending time with her husband and friends, as well as staying active through yoga and exercise.

We also facilitate the arrangement of a sitter who provides overnight care the first night after surgery (for more involved procedures).
