The surgeon first makes small incisions at the corners of the mouth. This ensures incisions are hidden. The surgeon will then insert implants and thread it to the lip. Then it will be trimmed to proper length, and the incision will be closed. There is relatively little recovery time and most patients can return to their normal lives in a few days, although there may be some swelling and bruising.
