How Does Ultherapy® Work?
The Ultherapy® procedure uses ultrasound technology to send energy into the deepest layers of the skin. This energy then stimulates the body’s production of collagen. As new collagen is produced, the skin becomes more elastic and increases in volume, erasing fine lines and wrinkles and giving you the more vibrant look you are seeking.
What Happens During the Procedure?
An Ultherapy® procedure is efficient, pain-free and effective in addressing minor signs of aging. During the procedure, our trained Ultherapy® technician will use the Ultherapy® applicator to view an ultrasound image of the skin to assess the sub-dermal aging tissue. The Ultherapy® applicator will then send thermal energy to the treatment area, sparking collagen production.
How Long is Recovery?
One of the best aspects of Ultherapy® is that there is no downtime or recovery. As soon as your appointment is complete, you can leave our office and get back to living your life. That said, you will want to protect your skin from the sun when you are outside. Best results are seen within four months.
