The Nonsurgical Nose Job

The benefits of a traditional nose job (also known as “rhinoplasty”) are well-known: by enhancing the shape or size of the nose, you can improve your overall facial harmony to achieve a more balanced and attractive appearance, in a permanent fashion. At Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery, we use hyaluronic acid fillers for liquid rhinoplasty procedures. These dermal fillers offer long-lasting results, adding subtle volume to the nose to improve its shape, creating a straighter profile of the nose. The primary advantage of a non-surgical nose job is that it requires dramatically less downtime and recovery care than traditional surgical techniques.

How is a Liquid Rhinoplasty Performed?

The liquid rhinoplasty procedure involves the injection of a hyaluronic acid filler into targeted areas of the nose. The treatment begins with applying ice to the treatment area to numb the skin. For patients who are experiencing a bump in the nose, the injection can be placed into the bridge of the nose to give the nose a straighter appearance. Alternatively, injections can be made into the tip of the nose to produce a more refined look. Throughout the treatment, patients are given a mirror so that they can closely observe the changes in their nose as additional injections are made. This ensures we are able to deliver optimal results for every patient.

What is the Liquid Rhinoplasty Recovery Like?

After a liquid rhinoplasty, we recommend avoiding any strenuous activity for the rest of the day. Besides this recommendation, there is no other recovery or downtime required. However, it is common to experience some skin irritation or swelling in the days following treatment. In most cases, these side effects resolve completely within one to two weeks.

What Results Can I Expect from a Non-Surgical Nose Job?

Can Fillers be Undone?

At Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery, we’ve helped countless patients achieve great results with dermal filler and injectable treatments. Unfortunately, we also meet with many patients who have received fillers elsewhere and are unhappy with their results. These patients all share the same question: can my dermal filler treatment be undone? Below, we’ll explain what that process is like.

Do You Need Immediate Attention?

We understand that it can be difficult to live with cosmetic results that you aren’t happy with. However, it’s important to remember that all dermal filler and injectable products are temporary. Therefore, if you are unhappy with your results, you might want to consider just waiting it out instead of scheduling to have the filler dissolved or have additional treatments.

How are Fillers Undone?

In the event that you choose to undo your dermal filler treatment, they will be “undone” by dissolving the dermal filler formula. This process involves the injection of an additional formula, which will react with the ingredients in the dermal filler gel and cause it to dissolve.
