What Is Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is an FDA approved dermal filler that helps gradually replace lost collagen. Sculptra® stimulates collagen growth, which helps to restore facial volume, giving fullness to wrinkles and folds over time. Sculptra® is especially good at helping smooth smile lines/ nasolabial folds, marionette lines and chin wrinkles! This gradual treatment is typically 3 injections over the course of 3-4 months and results last up to 2 years!
Sculptra® benefits include:
- Treatment is fast, taking only 60 minutes or less
- Lasts up to 2 years
- Natural-looking results
- Non-surgical treatment
- Minimal side effects and no downtime
Would I make a good candidate for a Sculptra® treatment?
Sculptra® has an 86% WORTH IT rating on RealSelf, based on 115 ratings over 24 months.
Good candidates for Sculptra® treatment include those with:
- Severe folds from nose to mouth / nasolabial folds
- Lines around the mouth/marionette lines
- Chin wrinkles
During your initial consultation, you may share your individual goals and needs to be addressed by your Sculptra® treatment. This information will allow us to craft a unique treatment plan that is tailored just for your own individual needs.
How Should I Prepare For Sculptra®?
Preparing for dermal filler injections is easier than ever. Patients need to notify the nurse injector of any medications, supplements, previous injections or other medical conditions that could affect the results. In the days leading up to your procedure, you should also avoid alcohol and all anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
How Is Sculptra® Administered?
In order to avoid any discomfort, the nurse injector will first apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment site. After the area is numb, they will then inject doses of Sculptra® just under the skin. Depending on your cosmetic goals, more than one treatment session might be needed.
How is Sculptra® different from other products I have heard of?
Many dermal fillers contain substances such as hyaluronic acid (HA) and artificial collagen to physically add volume to the patient’s skin and soften their wrinkles. Sculptra®, on the other hand, thickens the patient’s skin so that it produces its own collagen. By stimulating the production of natural proteins, the results last much longer.
Can Sculptra® be combined with other facial fillers?
Sculptra® is completely non-invasive, which means it can be combined with a wide variety of other cosmetic procedures. During your initial consultation, you and the nurse injector can discuss other injectables and treatments that could help you meet your cosmetic goals. For many of our patients, we create personalized treatment plans to reverse the signs of aging throughout the face and neck.
How Much Does Sculptra® Cost In Jacksonville?
Due to the fact that Sculptra® is considered an elective cosmetic procedure, basic health insurance will typically not cover the costs. This is why we offer our patients flexible financing options. We also accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.
