Reconstructive Facial Surgery Recovery

Is reconstructive facial surgery painful?

Usually not. Depending on the extent of the procedure or the location of the procedure, there may be some swelling and tightness with minimal discomfort if any.

When will I be able to return to normal activities after reconstructive facial surgery?

All of the tapes are removed 1 week after surgery during your surgical recovery period. Most patients are able to return to work or school at that time. There may be rare exceptions to this rule however.

Where will my reconstructive facial surgery be performed?

We perform our reconstructive facial surgery either in our JCAHO accredited operating room under local anesthesia, the surgery center or in the hospital operating room.
